The day after the race

October 1, 2012

There were 11 women in my age group of “senior females” – I haven’t figured out the age range yet. But I finished 6th at 3:22. Five out of the first six were from the USA. Today I walked at least ten miles climbing in castles, but it was quite spectacular. Tomorrow is the largest flea market in Lisbon. I think I will sleep next when I get home!

I have the best support of friends anyone could ever want, and I am so blessed that so many people have been with me on the race. It was indeed the best birthday ever for me, and I look forward to my next decade.  I will tell the peanut butter story later!
